Mumbai: Puzzolana, a major in the construction equipment segment will be making three additions to its product portfolio by March next year. The company has outlined plans to introduce mobile stone crusher, miller for road works and sander used in production of sand substitute.
“Sander helps produce granular powder that serves as a sand substitute. With states focusing on reducing the dependence on sand, such product has market demand. This will be launched early next year,” says Abhijeet Pai, Managing Director of Puzzolana Group.
Moreover, the mobile stone crusher is designed to specifically serve in the hostile environments where it is not possible to set up stone crushers. The company accounting for 45% share in the CE segments, sources about 6-7% from exports. The company also aims to explore business opportunities from the new markets at Africa, West Asia and South East Asia.
Commenting on the prevailing scenario of CE industry, Pai adds, “The CE industry has shown lower growth since 2008. But given the potential in the Country’s infrastructure, the market is set to expand significantly if we were to achieve the targets set up the Government to complete 23 km per day.”
